He starred in a film called "Hollywoodland" where he played George Reeves during his years on the show "Adventures of Superman."
Subsequently, this required Affleck to appear in the Superman costume to play the character; and he is the only actor in history to wear a Batman and Superman costume on-film.
HOLLYWOODLAND is where the late night guys were getting those pictures of Ben A. and Diane Lane, so they could tease the real reason Superman & Batman fought was over Martha Kent. Fun tidbit, they will probably pull up pics from the movie B.A. did with Russell Crowe (surprised they didn't already since he's Jor-El) and Robin Wright, since she is one of Wonder Woman's aunts in the new WONDER WOMAN movie.
But yes, there was at least a scene in HOLLYWOODLAND where B.A. appears in a Superman costume, then he got to play Batman in the new movie. As far as I know, he is the only actor to do both. The guy who played Superman in that one-off Brian Singer directed, is now on the DC comics show LEGENDS OF TOMORROW and Christopher Reeves appeared in SMALLVILLE, but B.A. is the only one who got to play two parts of the trinity.
