John Travolta has a 5 mill script contact. If he reads a script the studio pays him a cool 5 mill for the job and another 30 mill if he decides to do the movie. He also has a play or pay contract that render him 30 mill if he signed on for the film but for some reason was cancelled. He also has a private plane on set, a full gym, imported Voss water, a two-storey, 100ft long, 30-ton luxury home on wheels at all times for him to sleep & fu......... ck in.
That's ridiculous. No studio pays an actor to just read a script.
And play or pay contracts are written into contracts individually. They basically state that if an actor sign on to film a film he gets paid whether or not the filming is completed. It's not a blanket agreement an actor has with a studio.
And Travolta isn't making anywhere near $30 million a picture these days. Half of his films are direct to video. You think any company is going to pay ANYONE that much for straight to video??? Most of those films' budgets are a lot less than $30 million. You're insane.
