Saturday Night Fever and Urban Cowboy are 2 of the best movies ever, IMO

Wow, I just saw Urban Cowboy last week and with Saturday Night Fever, I just can't imagine one actor in two movies that good. IMO both of them would be among my greatest movies ever made list if I made one but then it's not about about a placement. The stories are well told, so nuanced for lessons and learning, to learn from them... and we hope the characters do too, but I am in awe that he was in two of the best movies ever made... but now they are both bigger than him, but still. Amazing films. They were saying he came back with Pulp Fiction and anyone else would be on a come back but I don't think you can come back after those two within five years. How is he going to do it again or has he ever made movies (not just his performance) that were on the level of these two? If so, let me know about suggestions, please.
