her most performances were unimpressive, disappointing, and dreadful except for those which she had worked with Tarantino.

Unlike most major Hollywood actresses, Uma has avoided coasting on a "formula". There is no "Uma Thurman movie" like there is a "Julia Roberts Movie". Uma does not follow conventional Hollywood trends, she has always chosen the road less traveled. I think, for the most part, her film roles have been very interesting and she obviously does not take most roles just to make a buck. If you look at her resume, she has done a lot of smaller, independent films where she played very interesting characters. She could have easily done what Jennifer Aniston or Julia Roberts or Sandra Bullock have done and just make the same kind of film over and over again.

And to answer the question as to why she made "My Super Ex-Girlfriend", they paid her $14 million dollars. Who the hell would turn that down? Every actor has taken a "paycheck" role in their career, some numerous times. Robert DeNiro starred in and produced "The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle". Need I say more?

Love her or hate her...nobody can deny that Uma is a very unique actress. She is unlike all the rest and whether or not people like her or her movies is not the point...she has had an over 24 year career in movies and has remained an A-list actress. If that were so easy to do, then everyone would last that long. I think its really interesting that people say how awful she is when we have people like Kirsten Stewart making AWFUL films and passing for an "actress".

For those people that think Uma is awful, there are 5 films you should watch and then reevaluate your opinion. They are:

1. Hysterical Blindness
2. The Golden Bowl
3. The Producers
4. Henry and June
5. Mad Dog and Glory

All of these films are fine examples of her versatility and talent. They are films she is less known for, which is why so many people have not seen them. And make no mistake...her performance in both Kill Bill films was outstanding. The scene in Kill Bill, Vol. One when she awakens from her coma to discover she has lost her child...I defy anyone to watch that scene and say she is a terrible actress.

Bottom line...she is a very interesting, relevant and accomplished actress and no amount of people on a message board with nothing better to do with their time than trash an actress they claim to hate is going to change that.

Even mentally ill people like syrup on their pancakes! 8-}

I have seen Pulp Fiction and the Kill Bill's and she is outstanding in those movies and I would like to see more of her. In Batman she was over the top, but that's hardly a reason to say she's an awful actress overall. I thought My Super ex girlfriend was funny but not a good movie for an actress of her talent. It's makes me sad when I see her in movies like Playing for Keeps and I heard Bel Ami was really bad but I hope she makes better choices in the future and I feel like she's due for a come back.

For anyone interested, I recently watched the movie "Tape" with Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman and she is awesome in it! I recommend it.

She's also in Nymphomaniac by Lars Von Trier and I've heard really really good things about her performance, though it isn't a big one. I'm excited to see.
