Why the Short Hair?

When actresses cut their hair, they're no longer attractive. At least not to me. If actresses are going to cut their hair, they should at least cut it until its shoulder-length. Putting a ponytail (or some other hair accessory) to make it short is one thing, but cutting it to look like a guy is completely unacceptable. Other examples: Kristen Stewart (who also dyed it blonde), Liza Weil (who also dyed it), Kristen Wiig, Maggie Grace, Cynthia Nixon, Maya Rudolph, Demi Lovato. I'm sure there are others, but I can't remember who. If an actress is going to look like a man, they might just as well get out of the spotlight. There's no point in expecting popularity with such short hair. And the same goes for actresses who dye their hair (e.g. Paget Brewster, who looks like she's in her 80's or 90's). Charlize, please make your hair long again!

She doesn't want to attract dorks who still live with mom!

Completely unacceptable. lol

Ok Mr Blackwell.

Low maintenance would be my guess.

She started out as a fashion model and her early roles were all about her blonde locks, followed by an array of different yet very fashionable hair styles from puffy curls (a la Nicole Kidman) to demure and dark. She probably got tired of it after she made her money and her critical acclaim as an actress.

Let's just hope she maintains that nice body and doesn't go Kathy Bates

I'm with you on the short hair thing. When a woman cuts her hair short, they drop 3 or more points on the 10 point attractiveness scale for my personal tastes. So Theron, who I would consider probably and 8 or 9 normally, is a 5 to me now. But since there's almost no chance I'll ever run into them and even less that I would have a shot with them, whatever they want to do with their hair - more power to them. I'll just be attracted to other actresses until the hairstyle trends change and they grow their hair out again.

Charlize is very beautiful looking in a short hair. And so is Morena Baccarin.

She can pull of the short hair look.

Women often chop off their hair when they reach a point in their lives where they don't give a damn about being attractive to heterosexual men any more. Their girl friends and gay men friends will always squeal and exclaim how cute they look, but most straight men will be disappointed. If these women are man-haters, then I suppose they have succeeded in some way.

This makes perfect sense.
She obviously looks much better with long hair.
But given her strange mixed signals she lets her children have it wouldnt surprised me she really doesnt want a heterosexual man knocking that up. She had her own child and likes to complain about men not interested in her when in reality she can walk down any street and have a dog bone her.

I recall when Oprah or other talk shows would do makeover eps it would always be cutting a woman's long hair real short and everyone would say just that "how cute, how sexy" etc except it was only the women and gay men saying that. Most women don't look good with short hair.

Jfc, you people really do need to put an agenda on everything. If a woman has short hair, she’s clearly done with being attractive and maybe hate men. Charlize had short hair when she was barely in her 20s.

You guys are obsessed with women and what they do.

She has very thin, fine hair, which has been bleached and styled for years. It's probably in pretty bad shape, so if she hasn't cut it for a role the way she did for "Fury Road", then she probably cut it because it's fried to the point of falling off her head.

She can wear wigs for roles that call for long, sexy, lucious hair, because that was the one area in which nature hasn't given her everything there was to give.
