the favorite director of people who know nothing about film yet want to feel like they do

In other words, worshipers of a naked emperor. Yes I did see his films at the theater and yes I was mindblown, but the more I learn about film, real films, real masterpieces like Vertigo and The Birds, as well as the many great and unique movies he has plagiarized, the more I realize his work is not good at all. It's hard for me to describe but his work is as subtle and contrived as a grand vitesse train going into an asshole. You can't see his movies without his smothering fat ass, salamander grin and chode sweaty dick masturbatory presence. I don't think that makes for a great director. "Auteur" directors like Almodovar, Tarantino and Rodriguez eventually destroy their own films. Their style becomes intrusive. Plus it's not original and never was.

So you want people to hate his movies just because you dont like them?

reply

His movies have a lot of energy despite the fact that they have long dialogues and a slow passing. Just that is really hard to make. You don't really understand that before you actually try to make movies yourself.

Make a long movie in which the major part is devoted to character development and yet please the majority of people is an unique tallent.

You probably heard a lot of people saying that The Godfather was REALLY slow and long... Yet the first one is shorter than The Hateful Eight and had much more things going on. I heard some people saying that The Hateful 8 was long but for most it wasn't even remotely the biggest issue with it.

Another one who can do it is Martin Scorsese. Even his longest movies seem like they are only half of their actual running time.

reply

That's a good assessment of his strengths

reply

Jackie Brown was a great crime picture.

reply

I kind of agree, but I still like his early films

reply

QT himself has said he's stolen from every movie ever made. He doesn't hide that fact,so how can you shit on him for it. And he never made the claim that he was the greatest director of all time, that is pure made up bullshit from you.

My what a unnecessarily vulgar POS you are. Why would anyone in their right mind even consider your arguments?

Simply put, you sound bitter and contemptuous of someone else's success.

I encourage your to phrase your arguments in a more intelligent manner and avoid ad hominem tactics, which make you sound pathetically envious and hateful.

reply

Yeah, you have to mention Nolan too though.
