Back in 1987, Sean Penn was sentenced to 60 days in county jail for hitting an extra on a movie set.

For once, Penn has made an excellent point.

I asked the same at the time, and basically the answer was that Rock declined to press charges. Instead, he shut up and backed away, and left Smith to slowly twist in the wind as his career evaporated. It left me with great respect for Rock, not everyone can ruin their enemy while seeming to do nothing.
