Dear simpletons who think it was staged

What if he was high? People do make bad decisions from time to time. (Although, I think most likely if it was staged, he wouldn't have resigned today.) But if it was staged, went badly/unexpected, reflected badly on the Oscars, yada/yada, maybe that's what the call he had with the two honchos was about, and they said to him, too late to put this can of worms back, or let's see how this next meeting goes, or whatever...

Now, I don't believe all that happened. But I can certainly imagine it, and stranger things have happened.

But his career is not ruined. For starters, look at the power houses that are in his corner, Denzel, Tyler Perry. Plus he will tour the talk show circuit doing an apology tour and win more sympathy by talking about how he was just a husband madly in love with his wife who overreacted in the heat of the moment. Finally he and Chris will wind up on Oprah hashing then hugging it out, personally I would like for it to be on Jada Pinkett’s red table, and all will be forgiven. Chris Rock has already had tickets to his shows sky rocket and has become America’s Sweetheart. Last year The Oscar’s ratings were so low that the dundies probably would had pulled a higher number, next year everybody will be watching. Seems like a win win, not saying it was stage, but nobody will be hurting.

We're talking about people who play pretend for a living in an industry that revels in bullshit. Look at Smith's acceptance speech. He actually thinks he does something worthwhile.
