What an absolutely ridiculous and embarrassing spectacle. Then they give the guy the best actor award. The whole thing just cements the conclusion that there is zero to reason to look up to these morons

Yes, but he should have been disqualified and immediately escorted out of the building. Complete bs. He committed an assault on live TV, and then just casually returns to his seat....and nobody did ANYTHING??

Honestly I was expecting him to be removed but someone would have been aware that he was going to win so they were in a lose-lose situation.

I didn't like the "show' at all and didn't really pay attention, mostly doing other things. I'm not in favor of changing the formal ceremony even if the audience shrinks. Don't make it MTV.

Smith/Rock presented an embarrassing image. Poor taste mixed with violent emotionalism. This is what both chose to show America on Oscar night. Amongst other unfortunate displays.
