Schwarzenegger reassured fans that there was “nothing to worry about” after the video of the man dropkicking him from behind went viral. He tweeted that he thought he’d just been pushed by the crowd and that he didn’t realize he’d been kicked until he watched the video himself.
seems like an over used word , even though I'm not entirely sure what it exactly is , some American Football term i assume ,
it seems like its wrongly used 90% of the time , and used only used because it sounds cooler than merely "kicked"
If I had to guess I'd imagine it means holding a ball in your hands dropping it , kicking it before it hits ground , probably done in many sports .
sorry for the off topic musings , Schwartz being kicked sounds pretty funny.
As an American, I can say that the term is different depending on the context.
In American football, it means one thing. In professional wrestling, it means another.
For the "fighting" version, it basically means launching yourself at your target, jumping into the air and kicking with both feet. Then falling to the ground.
Nice! I found this, which thankfully included the full speed version up front. My personal opinion is that the slow motion is too slow and a bit tedious.
I always thought a drop kick was when you jumped up in the air and kicked a person in the head. Also I could not read the article cause I refuse to become a twitter member.
