Honorable Mention to : StepMom the film she did with Susan Sarandon.

Sleeping with the Enemy and Pelican Brief.

Yes, both really good.
Sleeping with the enemy slightly better though bad casting choice for the other guy she met.
He looked sketchy like he would turn out to be like her ex husband. They needed someone like Brad Pitt for that new boyfriend.

I had to look it up. Kevin Anderson. He was nice enough. Definitely not shady. Pitt wouldn’t have made a difference. But her husband was fantastic. I loved that Pelican Brief was in NOLA. And I love actors Sam Shepard and Denzel. I forgot about Dying Young. That movie I liked and saw more than once. Closer was excellent but only because of Natalie and Clive. I don’t consider myself a fan of Julia Roberts. I probably shouldn’t be in this discussion. I hated My Best Friend’s Wedding. Pretty Woman was too light for me. It was originally really dark. That’s why other actresses like Molly Ringwald. Meg Ryan. Michelle Pfeiffer. Daryl Hannah and Jodie Foster abandoned it. But Julia Roberts is a favorite for a lot of people. And she has chemistry with her male leads.

Im one of those who love her and the actress I do enjoy the most to watch due to talent and not looks.

Maybe she doesn’t have a big range but she is incredibly funny and can definitely show emotions. She is one of those few actresses who I can see feeling comfortable doing comedy and drama.

Many comedic actors look like fish out of water in drama and even fewer dramatic actors feel comfortable doing comedy. But Julia Roberts can definitely do both.
Cate Blanchet with Ragnarock surprised how cool she feels doing comedy and getting in that vibe.

With Christian Bale on Love and Thunder I was disappointed that he didn’t get in the mood for an almost satirical comedy like Cate Blanchett did. Sure he gave a dramatic performance but all know he can do that. I was awfully disappointed he didn’t get out of his dramatic comfort zone.

She’s definitely talented. And very smart, witty and attractive. I guess I don’t like her movies that much. Sandra Bullock has great comedic timing but when either are up for edgy roles, they would change the tone if cast. They are both popular. For me, Ashley Judd could do it all and had it all. I like that Julia Roberts has great relationships outside. Clooney and Pitt are some of her best friends. So you know she has a great sense of humor which is the greatest gift.

reply

I do love many of her movies so much.

And damn that sense of humor and fun personality makes her even more fun to watch. I love that she has a care free personality and yeah seems like all her co stars love her.

reply

Did you see new one she’s in with Clooney?

reply

Yees of course and loved it.
The only downside was the supporting cast. I found it insufferable.

Julia Roberts and George Clooney amazing but ughh the couple so boring and very little chemistry and that’s disappointing coming from the director of Both Mamma Mia movies who perfectly got the young cast.

This new young couple looked so lifeless and so did the parents of the groom.
I’m a huge Marvel fan but remember how bad were the kids on far from home like just annoying noice that’s how this supporting cast felt.

Probably the director was too focused on Julia and George that he forgot about the others.
Before no way home I felt Ned and MJ such awful characters but after two movies John Watts listened to the fans and made those two insufferable people likable.

Maybe better directed the supporting cast could have worked.

I give ticket to Paradise( the Julia Roberts and George Clooney latest flick) an 8/10

Because the story was nice, it did have some great laugh out loud moments and Julia and Clooney were amazing but the supporting cast well it’s the worst supporting cast I’ve seen.
2nd place damn the whole freaking school people in far from Home?
In that one at least Maria Hill, Nick Fury and John Fabreau were cool but damn Ned and MJ were so unnecessary but watts by his third film in the franchise decided to fix them and were finally enjoyable sidekicks to Spider-Man

reply

I think they wanted something light and funny. They’re comfortable with each other. Clooney really likes Roberts. Pitt likes her. Gere likes her. I’m not sure if women like her. So, if you have to say who Julia had the best on-screen chemistry. Who would it be?
