a very RUDE person

When I was younger I use to wait on tables. At this particular restaurant I worked, Molly Ringwald would always come in. She was one of the rudest unpleasant people to wait on. Giving out cheap orders and demanding the waiters fetch her marlboro cigarettes. I was foolish enough one day to tell her how I enjoyed PRETTY IN PINK. She scoffed at me with all the contempt a person could muster. She then barked "get me my cigarettes". When I told her where the vending machine was located she gave me the biggest, "DON'T YOU KNOW WHO I AM" contentious look. From then on, I refused to wait on her.

It's funny how in all the John Hughes movies she played the innocent girl always being picked on by the bitches and bullies at school when in actuality it was just the opposite.

Unfortunately she accepted a lead role in Stephen King's television adaption of "The Stand", and her hollow performance was one of the main reasons that it turned out to be such a dud.
The miniseries got tepid reviews, and I agree that Molly Ringwald is likely one of the reasons. Her performance was terrible, she was not convincing at all & sounded plastic.
In fact, most of the acting was wretched! Laura San Giacomo certainly was. And don't get me started on the "Its a BOMB!" character that was supposed to be flaky but was WAY TOO OVER THE TOP.
Even Randall Flagg (Jamie Sheridan?)was too over the top, creepy, but too over the top.
The 'Mo-o-n' character was one of the only good characters, and shockingly, Rob Lowe!
