She was so big in the 80s. What happen to her

She fell in love with a French bloke, moved to France, had a family and has been raising her kid(s).
She does still do stuff on screen, but she's also doing music and releasing albums, as well.

She was just recently the mother on a TV series that ran for several years and appeared as the aunt/mother figure in the film version of Jem and the Holograms.

When there's no more room in Hollywood, remakes shall walk the Earth.

She was never a big deal. Her only claim to fame is being in a few John Hughes movies as a teenager. As an adult, she didn't have a single hit movie or TV series. Her career was basically over by 1987/1988 when she had a long string of flops as the lead (Pick-up Artist, P.K. and the Kid, For Keeps, Fresh Horses)

For comparison Scarlett Johansson who is the highest paid actress has a $165M net worth. Not even Beyonce and Taylor Swift combined have a $770M net worth.
