The rise and fall of the Brat Pack has been pretty well documented here at Le Blog. A generation of promising actors rose to fame and fortune in the mid-eighties. Before the decade was over, most of their careers had flamed out. Molly Ringwald, at one time the biggest star of the bunch, fled to France to make sense of it all. Midway through the 90’s, Ringwald returned to the US in an attempt at a comeback. In the September 1995 issue of Movieline Magazine, Stephen Rebello interviewed the actress for the issue’s cover story.
Towards the end of the interview, Ringwald discusses the worst audition of her life which involved a friend of hers tying his belt around her neck and walking her around the room like a dog. While Ringwald doesn’t reveal the name of the movie or her would-be costar/dog walker, it’s pretty obvious who she’s talking about. Post your guesses in the comments section. We’ll see who gets it right first.
