There's only ONE Wednesday Addams

Even if Hollywood someday makes a new Addams Family movie/TV show that turns out to be pretty good, one thing is certain. No one will ever top Christina Ricci as Wednesday. It's the role she was born to play and I honestly don't believe any actress will ever top it. Good child actors are already a dime a dozen but finding one that also has amazing deadpan delivery is extremely rare.

Ricci's performance in both of the movies is just spot on. Hilariously morbid while at the same time irresistibly charismatic and likeable. I honestly think it's a shame the movies didn't give her more screen time. I would have happily sacrificed some of the Uncle Fester scenes from the second movie for more Wednesday, Pugley and Joel at camp. In fact, why is Uncle Fester the main focus in both movies? Regardless, she stole every scene she was in effortlessly and the fact that she was only 11 when she did the original and 13 when she did the sequel, only further proves how talented this woman is.

She was perfect as Wednesday. I also loved her in Mermaids.

What annoys me is Addams family Values hasn't even come out on Blu-ray!

Yeah me too. I think Values is a lot more enjoyable than the original.

No there's a new actress who does Wednesday Addams in a webseries called adult Wednesday Addams. Watch it, its brilliant. She writes, acts and totally owns the character now. (but its obviously completely inspired by Christina Ricci' s portrayal)

I've already seen it and I agree, she's really good. It's a shame the series has been taken off Youtube recently 

That being said, I still think finding another child actress to play Wednesday as well as Ricci will be incredibly difficult.

Agreed. She owns the movies. Recently I saw her dressed as Morticia. That would be awesome in a new Addams production.
