Come on. Where is this woman's Oscar?

Aside from being one of the most interesting, stimulating celebrity personalities in years (boy is she witty and intelligent!) she is a wonderful actress with a very charismatic kind of talent that you don't often see. You could use a two-second clip of her and get everything you need, she's that expressive. It's a shame that because she isn't some boring blonde haired blue eyed girl next door type of beauty a la Reese Witherspon or Cameron Diaz (yawn), she doesn't get the kind of meaty roles she truly deserves. It's a shame that she still hasn't even received a Golden Globe, let alone an Oscar. She was absolutely flawless in The Opposite of Sex, Prozac Nation and Monster and under the right direction, she could move mountains. I've always had faith in Ms. Ricci's ability, only to have it kicked to the curb because of the *beep* straight-to-video material she gets constantly gets given. Hurry up and put her in a Scorsese film and showcase this woman's obvious talent.

Amen. Black Snake Moan should've been her career highlight.

Oh well. She seems to have lost her fire lately judging from her recent performances, but hey, at least she's still acting. That's good enough for me... I guess.

Can't wait for Lizzie Borden and Around the Block though! And Mother's Day if it ever gets filmed.

It's easy to lose fire when all of your films under perform. I feel sorry for the fact that she's not as in demand as her contemporaries.

reply

You're right about that. I still believe she can do it.

reply

She's a legend. She doesnt really need one.

Well it would be a nice gesture ... but meh.

Marilyn Monroe for example never got one either.

Well Anne Hathaway had a great role in Interstellar, even more with 2 astonishing redhair actresses in it. Let's not even talk about Sandra Bullock.

Christina indeed lost light lately. No theather movie. The last one I watched with her was that one she's dead and being prepared to be buried.

First she needs better movies, high budget ones, with great script, great director.

She needs to reborn and reinvent herself.

Her career is well worth following, Oscar or no. The grassroots know better than the academy what to spend our time with. Hollywood is just like Washington, where the elites think they are superior to us, then congratulate themselves for being our representatives.

Cats are underdogs.
