Sundance review, Where is Kyra!

I think it's safe to call that pretty close to a rave review for Pfeiffer. Positive overall for the film. It's not dead...yet

Lovely review for Pfeiffer. Hope we receive a few more of them. Now who is going to pick this film up?

Should get an idea in the next 24 hours who will buy this, if anyone.

I'll wait for more print reviews, so I don't get my hopes up again. Though, I must say I think it is a pretty bad sign when Guy Lodge of Variety, one of the biggest Pfeiffer fans, saw the film last night and has yet to even mention her performance on Twitter. His review should be up today sometime.

No matter what, I think I will really like this movie. Sounds dark and totally different than anything she's done. I hope she is encouraged to do more indies like it in the future, if the opportunities are there,

Sadly, Pfeiffer and Sutherland are pretty much wasted here. The former attempts to cast more shading on her character, but Dosunmu and screenwriter Darci Picoult give her little backstory to work with.

I just don't see this movie really going anywhere. It's a very small, dark movie with reviews, so far, that aren't strong enough to warrant, say a spot at Toronto, unless future reviews really pick up. I don't see it as having good box office prospects, and that matters to distributors. Maybe Harvey, even though he's a broke mess, can snatch it up if he really believes in Pfeiffer's performance and thinks he can take it far.

This sounds right up my alley, though and I think I'm going to love it. I hope her performance impresses other directors and writers and they give her great work in the coming years.
