The recent reports about Nicholson being lonely and not getting out of bed until 1pm are sad to hear.
It seems as though he feels he has little to live for.
I think it would be a good idea for him to go back to work, not for the money but for the structure and purpose it could give him.
It worked for Olivier when he returned to work on Marathon Man. Maybe it could work for Nicholson.

There are many people who die alone who have had nowhere near the life experiences that Nicholson has had, and he's lived his life with joy.
To me, the story of Jack Nicholson is a happy one but, like everyone's, not perfect.
I agree with Fritz ^. Nearly none of us have had the life experiences he has had, and while I'm a big fan of Jack's, his attitude towards women has finally caught up with him. I don't feel sorry for him. He's used women like sweat socks and now he wants us women to accommodate him in his final years. Sorry Jack, it doesn't work that way.

I can honestly understand what you two say, and depending on whether people believe in Karma or not, if he is really that lonely, maybe he is getting back what he did to others.

I'm sure he could find another companion.
It sounds like he needs to get out more. Getting back to work would be a good start for the reasons I originally mentioned.
