Just saw Chinatown on the big screen..

I have seen it many times on DVD but this film completely blew me away on the big screen. In speaking to many others at the screening in Los Angeles.. is it possibly the greatest film ever made? Top to bottom, the acting, the screenplay, the soundtrack, the pacing, the cinematography, the ending! Certainly the greatest Neo Noir film by a mile. I don't like to necessarily compare eras but... I ended up picking up the Blu Ray edition the other day, lol. So glad I did.

It's blatantly one of the greatest collaborations on a film anyone can imagine.

The score alone blows all classic film noir away completely, especially on the big screen. There is no competition in that regard.

In my opinion, Nicholson's performance as Jake Gittes is the greatest performance of all time.
