I love what she said about her mom, being: "more well endowed", which I'm not so sure is true since Lane is very attractive in her own right. You'll have to check out her mom's pics from '57.

Sorry...the reason I brought this up is because Lane's sex scenes that I've seen in her films are far more ambitious and explicit than most other actresses, and I'm wondering if her mom told her to go for films and not be inhibited by accepting these scenes.

Thanks for posting this...I had no idea that Diane's mom had been a Playboy Playmate! I had to look up some pictures of her (purely for research purposes, of course) and the resemblance is definitely noticeable. And I think it's close to a tie on their measurements, her mom maybe a wee bit more voluptuous than Diane...but those photos were from the '50s and women didn't strive to be as thin back then, either.

Her mother is also taller, about 5'8. And as stated, the 1950s was much more about having curves than today (lovely gamine types like Audrey Hepburn not withstanding).

Diane looks very much like her mom, the resemblance is really amazing!

My mom passed away in late July (she was a great person), so I hope Diane handled it well (my mother was a real best friend to me, it seems like Diane went to mom in a time of need, and desperation).

I think so too; Diane Lane lived with her mom for a few years when she quit acting for a few years. Definitely decent mom's!
