I don't understand why she is labeled "box office poison" yet you don't hear people say the same thing about Julia Roberts when she has around the same amount of flops.

Her acting skills are top-notch. But her better days are probably behind her. Can't stay on top forever...
That being said, I've never heard anyone call her BOP? But you can't ignore that her films haven't made a ton of money over the last 10 years or so.
Imo all she ever had was totally due to her ties to tom cruise

Ooooh, that's a little bit of a low-blow to Kidman.
Obviously, it probably helped her career to some degree to be in movies with Cruise but she is a better actor than Cruise is. So, who knows what her career might have been like without him but I don't think this casts any shadows over her talent.
I think the movie that really got her career going was Dead Calm and Cruise wasn't in it. Although, the film wasn't like great or anything, she was the standout in it.
