Well done , she sure to be a lock in for an oscar nod now , be shocked if she got snubbed when she`s been nominated for an GG,SAG and now a BAFTA.

I cannot argue with op, for all intents and purposes she is 99% confirmed for landing an Oscar nomination.

1% I will set aside to avoid being shattered if it doesn't happen.

Also what is noteworthy is BAFTA similar to the Oscars have only rewarded her with three prior nominations but for performances that were more significant, like in To Die For, the Others and the Hours.

Which makes this Lion nomination very special.

Seriously, her first Bafta nod in 14 years? Wasn't she nominated for RH?

I just wish she'd sold her big Lion monologue better. Then she might actually stand a chance of winning.

Well with Rabbit Hole I don't think it was eligible in 2010 and was forgotten the year after.

I never really doubted her getting the BAFTA. The film has too many British names and she's still riding Paddington/Photograph 51/Railway Man/Before I Go To Sleep successes. Plus she's done a couple if appearances on Graham Norton.

I didnt think she would land a BAFTA nom because they didnt really campaign that hard in the UK, they just had two screenings one of which she attended and a single Graham Norton show. Apart from that she has just recently done an interview with the BBC.

so landing the BAFTA Nom is quite an accomplishment, compared to the onus Harvey has her shackled with in the US doing the many many screenings, special events and awards red carpets flying coast to coast between LA and NY.
