Anyone else getting really tired of Jackson?.

It feels like i see him in every other movie that hollywood pukes out nowdays
and it is getting really tiresome. I've even chosen NOT to see the new spymovie
simply because he's in it... i just can't stand him anymore.

He has become another Johnny Depp, grabbing everything he gets his hands on
to the point where he's literally shoved down our throats .

I can't even rememeber the last movie i saw with him that i liked... Diehard 3 maybe, or 187.

Your loss mate, his new spy movie (kingsman) is actually very good

Why would I get tired of him being in movies all of which I have a choice not to see?

reply

I never want to see him again, im so tired of him, his commercials are the worst.

I was just thinking the same, looking at the new Tarzan film and seeing him in the cast felt like omfg not again. I'll admit he surprised me in Django which is his best role for a long long time but everything else is meh. He's not great in Kingsman imo, just talks with a lisp with no real character development except being the 'bad guy' (admittedly thats not his fault).

Echoing the original posters comments, I too find Samuel L Jackson tiring as an actor. I respect him as a person, but I feel he's far overplayed for roles.
There was a time when he really played the roles, but nowadays it feels like the same old thing with Mr Jackson.

Going through Netflix, I see him on a large selection of movie's listed on there, some of which are not hugely bankable movie's.

I feel there could be a lot of black actors out there given a chance to do some of these roles, especially upcoming talent.

Samuel L. Jackson has been in a lot of movie's, which haven't been successfully bankable or been hits themselves.

He is getting to the point, where like yourself and people I know, they are getting tired and sick of seeing him in movie's.

I am not tired of him as an actor, but it does seem that he is in EVERYTHING nowadays. Even in bit parts where you don't really need a "banner" actor, there he is.I wonder how many actors vying for the same bit parts feel about him hogging all the roles?
Mr. Jackson, while I am a big fan of your work, there is no shame in turning down a role here and there.

there's a reason he's in every movie. He's the best box office bankable revenue in history and because of this everyone wants him in their films.
