Howard to Huston
Is Ron Howard the John Huston of modern Hollywood? A very competent but un-distinctive film maker without a style?
Can this really be the end..to be stuck inside of mobile
with the Memphis blues again.

I don't see the similarity. Both have different 'styles'. Ron soft and measured, John hard-hitting and quick paced.

Huston "un-distinctive...without style"? Now I've heard everything. "The Maltese Falcon", "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre", "Key Largo", "The Asphalt Jungle", "The African Queen", "The Misfits", "The Night of the Iguana", "The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean", "The Man Who Would Be King", and "Prizzi's Honor" are just some of the un-distinctive, style-less dreck he put out.
Howard isn't qualified to shine Huston's shoes.
