Stop defending her

She could have killed a bunch of people in that house thankfully no one died. I bet had she killed someone driving around like a drunken moron people would still be defending her.

reply

Everytime I see people sending her prayers, I think they exact same thing you do. I swear these people think she’s going to read these messages and friend them.

reply

People dont think that.

reply

Yes they do.. they address her directly.

reply

That doesnt mean they really believe shes gonna read it...

reply

What a colossal little bitch.

reply

Actually I did not. Lmao. If you take a look one of my posts also got deleted. I don't cry to mods. It I didn't would be a hypocrite. Espcially since I'm always telling people to STFU...

reply

Not wishing death on someone is not the same thing as defending them

reply

Exactly.

Pointing out that she has a history of bipolar disorder isn't "defending" her, it's adding more information to the discussion. And actually, I'm curious about how the diagnosis of bipolar would affect her legal situation, if she survives (far from guaranteed). It's not an automatic "Not guilty by reason of insanity" plea, especially if as I suspect, she'd stopped taking her mood-stabilizing or antipsychotic meds, or was taking substances that would interfere with the effectiveness of her medications - such as the bottle of vodka that was photographed in her car just before the crash.

But that's the way with assholes, if you fail to express the same kind of outrage and hatred as they are, they'll accuse you of "defending" or even "idolizing" the subject of discussion.

reply

"Bipolar disorder" - you mean bat-shit crazy?

reply

Part-time batshit crazy. Also perfectly sane part of the time, that's how the disease works.

reply

Otter, I like you and and strntz very much. I’m glad that you are both here.

reply

Likewise!

There are different types of victims in situations such as these. This is the same woman who randomly showed up at a stranger's house several years ago, asking to take a shower and refusing to leave while she babbled on about spaceships. Clearly, there's a high probability that she had a mental illness that she was perhaps not entirely in control of. If that's the case, this wouldn't be the "she's just a drugged out, privileged, reckless celebrity" black and white narrative that people seem so eager to get on board with.

My mother, for instance, had major depression with psychotic features and had all sorts of out-of-nowhere, bizarre episodes occur from the time I was a child until I was an adult. She'd be fine for years, going to work every day, then suddenly she'd wake up one day talking to herself, burning Ouija boards in our sink, and grabbing her car keys and driving off somewhere without telling anyone (she did this once and we found that she'd crashed into a fence somewhere far away after getting an idea in her head that a friend she had decades ago was in some form of distress). And we often weren't allowed to have her committed until she did something extreme enough to prove what a danger she was (she, herself, wouldn't realize anything was wrong and could appear normal enough to outsiders to avoid being detained).

We're lucky nothing like this ever happened with her and that enough people knew and cared enough about her condition to keep an eye on her when the telltale signs began to surface. If it had though and she had hurt someone due to it, it would hardly be her fault. She was suffering from an illness that she had no control over.

Maybe it was the case that Heche's choice to get high and drive wasn't rooted in mental illness at all. I dunno. But her past behavior indicates that it's a probability worth considering before vilifying her.

OOOOH...

EFFF YOU TOO.

reply

No one is defending her actions, but its still possible to have empathy for a troubled human being.

And yeah, thank god she didn't kill anyone, but her demise is still tragic.

reply

She probably lost consciousness BEFORE she hit that house. Maybe because of alcohol or drugs, maybe because of other reasons.
Only an asshole will call her a POS before an official report is published.

reply

No she didnt. The way people always try to find excuse to let of celebrity of responsibility of their bad behavior......

Did you read her schedule that day? She hit a garage and people told her to get out of the car. But she drove away. Then she almost hit a pedestrian on the other corner. Speeding like crazy. Then she was speeding to her death on another street. No. when people lose consciousness they cant put pedal on speed and drove around the corners....

She hit that house because she was speeding like crazy on a street that suddenly (for her) ended up on corner. While she was preparing to go forward.

reply

Okay, I did not know about the other incidents that day. My fault.

reply

By now an official report has been published.
