He is a damn good actor, but not a damn good person.

Good thing I don't give a damn about his personal life or what he's like as a person. He could admire Hitler for all I care, or be a donald trump supporter. I don't care, his acting needs to be on point and so far it always has been.

You're missing the point. It's okay to think he's a good actor and all, but I see people on these boards praise his entire moral character just because of that. Just need to inform those kind of people that a person's talents don't define them.

OP, because people have their own lives and don't have time to worry about some celebrity, unlike yourself.

Also, because these boards are for discussing an actor's career, not his personal life, which isn't anybody's business but their own.

I think people are over it since it was 20 years ago. His acting overshadows his personal life, as it should.

It's true that he was not a good husband. He has said in an interview that after marrying Alex he realized marriage wasn't for him and he felt trapped. While that is no excuse for cheating, people make mistakes. MILLIONS of people cheat on their partners and do even worse things. You just don't hear about those people. You also do not know what exactly was going on in Ralph and Alex's marriage.

On another note, how do you know he's not a good person? It's not like Ralph is a mass-murderer or a Nazi. So he isn't very good at staying faithful in his relationships. Don't vilify him JUST for that. His life is his life and if you've noticed, he has never gotten remarried because he now knows it's not for him.

The notion that anyone can judge someone else's personal drama from the outside is oppressive.

Because he's famous for being an actor, he's not famous for being a husband. I really don't care about his personal life.
