Can you actually GET throat cancer from HPV?

I assumed his throat cancer was related to years of heavy smoking, but he's alleging that HPV caused it? Is he serious? Is that even possible?

All joking aside, you can get throat and tongue cancer from HPV. If the person you were with has HPV, then you are at risk. HPV also causes cervical cancer.
That is why Catherine Zeta Jones was so angry with him for saying that. It made her look like she gave it to him.
