Favorite De Niro/Scorsese Collaboration?
For me, it's "Raging Bull".
shareCasino. I like the story. I like the music, real long chunks, not little pieces that fade out right as you get hooked. I like the sets. The little vingettes, like where the cheaters get caught. I like the documentary aspect, "The pit boss watches the dealer, etc., etc.". I like all the actors AND all their characters. James Woods is at his finest. No one else could have played his part. Sharon Stone is super, as a street smart, druggie. Joe Pesci is a great "rabid dog", attacking a guy with a ball point pen! Granted, Raging Bull is the better movie. More meat. But Casino just does it for me. I've watched it countless times.
