seriously... since the late 90s she has only been in a couple of B movies and had a short running ratings failure TV show. what happened?? and please dont say "she became a mom" bla bla. her career has been dead for longer than that.
shareCareer dipped in mid 90's with Cutthroat Island which had the stigma of sinking a studio followed by Long Kiss Goodnight which although a brilliant movie didn't open in alot of theatre's(peaked at no.3 in US top 10) but did well worldwide and went to no1 in the UK and in Japan... nonetheless still lost cash because of huge budget and low success in the US! I truly believe she was just lying low after that looking for the right project and around late 90's persoanlly think she looked her absolute best.... 1999 oscars anyone? such a glamorous lady! There was huge hype for "The Geena Davis Show" but unfortunatley it just wasn't funny(my opinion and I'm a fan of Geena, but the writing was atrocious in this show!) and therefore it was cancelled in first season although first few episodes were ratings winners... Why Commander in Chief failed is down to really bad behind the scenes planning and poor Geena it seems has just had bad luck! Hopefully we'll see her again soon, and apparently in "Accidents Happen" she is brilliant. Maybe after some bad luck she just being choosy til right thing comes along, hope so anyways and hope Exit 19 is picked up for 2010, indeed if that is what she's doing next???? pls see other post if you have any info
