Is she the ultimate girl next door? Have been a dirty old man for her for a while.

I don't know, with her skull shape and nose, remove the makeup, give her a crew-cut, and 'she' looks like a dude to me - but to each his own I guess.

I personally don't understand the attraction of her.

She just looks plain to me. To me, my personal most attractive actresses are Leelee Sobieski and Jessica Alba, but I know not everyone would agree with that. I think it's down to personal preferences and what everyone finds attractive is different. But I personally do not think Claire Danes is that attractive, but she is a good actor, which is what's important. Maybe I missed whatever TV show / Movie she was in 30 years ago that everyone else saw. But I definitely don't think of Claire Danes as one of those 'smoking hot' actresses.
