Not as short as people think

The man is 5'7¾, a hair under 5'8". One inch & a quarter below the average for fully grown American males (5'9")
Yet people think he's a 5'2" manlet like Kevin Hart. That's just plain not true and makes no sense.
He does frequently date and co-star among tall women who are 5'10"+ and wear heels. This gives the illusion that he's tiny.

reply

The only reason people focus on height is because they are insecure themselves. It's pathetic.

reply

Did you see the Honest Trailer for Top Gun? The bit where they describe all the camera tricks to make Cruise seem that he was taller than Kelly McGillis at 5'10"? It's both funny and instructive...

reply

Yeah see that's the thing, the guy IS below average height, but he dates and works with women that are 5'10"+ making people constantly rag on his "Short stature" yet there are a ton of leading men in hollywood that are shorter that nobody rags on

reply

He's no "manlet" but he is below average height for a man in America.

reply

I'm 5' 11" and I don't feel superior to a guy just because he's 5' 7" or 5' 4", or inferior to some other guy just because he's 6' 6". It just doesn't matter.

reply

My sister met him in a bar in Stowe Vermont back in the 80's and he seemed interested in her, but she said she said he was much shorter than him and she doesn't like short men. She is 5 ft 10 inches, so a couple inches isn't "much shorter". I think she said he was probably 5 ft 5 or so.

reply

Gad, he's a shrimp.

Hmm, never knew that. One learns something new each day. Thanks.

reply

why are people concerned about his height?

it's the salary that counts.
hee hee he

reply

That's actually incredibly true. You could be the ugliest, shortest, meanest guy in the world but any woman would be with you if you're a billionaire.
