The Insider + A Beautiful Mind = his 2 best performances

Despite being most well-known for playing macho tough guys his two best performances IMO were where he plays "nerds." He was nominated for both films and Gladiator, and those films came out one after the other but he gets his Oscar for what is arguably the weakest of those three performances.

He should play more characters like Jeff Wigand and John Nash.

He should play more characters like Jeff Wigand and John Nash.I completely agree with you (except, perhaps, with calling Jeffrey Wigand a "nerd").
