Most influential British actor?

He certainly got in whilst it was early and made some touching, funny and provocative movies.

Would you say he's the most influential British actor of the silver screen?

reply

I'm not a huge fan of the silent era, but have seen his talkies and appreciate his early work and am aware of the fame he garnered, comparable to Michael Jackson or the Beatles fame wise of his day.

I’d place him just above Sean Connery and Michael Caine, though all three are iconic and influential to cinema.

I can’t believe the British would even like this guy at all after he ordered all those air raids.

Not influential enough to popularize the 'stache in competition with Germany's genocidal rascal.
Is it hate speech to talk about Chaplin's mustache? Just kidding. I know it is.
