She gave me a dirty scowl at a comic convention!

I was waiting in line to see Elvira at a comic convention and who but walks past me is Tia Carrere and who must have been her agent. I looked briefly at her, and she looked me right in the eye and gave me a scowl!

Made my day :)

(No, I'm not incredibly upset or trying to put her down. She was probably tired or whatnot, just thought I'd share this funny anecdote with you all)

My hopes is that one day, I will heckle the President of the United States and he will give me the finger. That would be awesome.

It Could've been that time of the month for her....you never know :)

I met Karen Ashley at one of the Power Morphicons and she was really sweet, I even got hug and a smooch on the cheek :)

But I'm sure Tia was probably just out of it at the moment, no worries man, it's all good :)

LOL, I haven't thought of this thread in awhile. I actually meant that the guy who started this thread is my God, because of the subject line, "She gave me a dirty scowl at a comic convention!" I still love that, that somebody actually started a thread with that subject line... mostly because of the exclamation point, I guess... he just sounded so happy and excited about it.

But hey, you can be my God too. I'm easygoing.

You are toast, my toasty friend.

Maybe not many people had come to see her? and she was irritated you looked at her while waiting in line to see someone else. Or who knows.

~I love the rhythm it is my methoood!~

or maybe he were wearing some weird costume and that was her first reaction?

reply

Well... thank you!

I find it funny to read threads on iMDB where people tell stories of how such and such a celebrity was being mean to them when they saw them in person and such. Some people get really bummed out when it is a bad experience.

For example, I went to see Jethro Tull a couple of years ago. There was this guy wearing the band's T-Shirt in front of me in the second row screaming and yelling: "Rock on!! Play Aqualung!!!". I'm sure he was quite passionate about the music, but the music that was playing at the time was Elizabethan in nature that you'd normally hear at a Renaissance fair. So it was inappropriate for an audience member to be screaming and expecting the band to play their more well known 1970s hard rock hits.

Anyway, the singer Ian Anderson singles out said heckler and tells him succinctly: "Shut the *beep* up!". Said fan suddenly got sullen and angrily tossed his Jethro Tull T-Shirt at the stage and pouted as security guards quietly escorted him out of the venue.

Not advising that we all should walk around on eggshells when we come into close contact with famous persons, but in the end, they are people (who have positive qualities and are quite flawed as well) who might not be the image that we built up of them in our minds.

That was rude of the musician to treat a fan like that. Just say Thank you, and keep on playing.

reply

Why would he say thank you to a retard with no etiquette?

I had a dream about this incident last night, so I feel like it is my duty to -bump- this thread.

I hope Tia reads these forums. I really do want to clear the air with her about the entire situation!

Bumping your own thread from imdb 10 years ago. I like it.
