In the 90s, he became king of the flops

1991
Nothing But Trouble
Budget: 40 million
Box office: $8,479,793.

1993
Coneheads
Budget: 30 million
Box office: $21,274,717

1998
Blues Brothers 2000
Budget: 30 million
Box office: $14,051,384

The last one I couldn't get the international numbers. Someone on wiki claims with international it's 32 million, but with no source, that's just conjecture.

It's possible.

It's a shame audiences chose not to see his movies. I guess they had their reasons.

Nothing But Trouble is one of the worst films I have ever seen. I love this guy but this movie should never have been made, it was a bad idea on all accounts.

I enjoy Coneheads, maybe it came too late for most people and had lost it's charm as a finished seventies comedy thing.

The Blues Brothers without John Belushi, and with a kid... everyone knew it wasn't gonna be the same.

Anytime you add a cute kid to the equation, it's a bad sign. You need to be a cute kid sort of show from the beginning. The first BB was an R rated comedy.

Blues Brothers 2000 is pretty good.

Chaplin

Sgt. Bilko
Celtic Pride - pretty good
