John Cleese Lobbies BBC to Restore ‘Fawlty Towers’ Episode Pulled From Streaming Over Use of N-Word

I don't remember it having the N word; maybe they had already edited it out. Anyway this kind of censorship is ridiculous, almost as bad as Me Too trying to remove every so-called sexist film/show. Censorship=Fascism.
shareIt’s pathetic. Anyone who can’t see that the show was poking fun at old school racist characters doesn’t deserve a say in this debate. Kudos to Cleese for standing up to this nonsense.
shareThe Major was talking about West Indians when he brought up the N word, which he then used the W word instead.
The cynical part of me says that John Cleese and the head of BBC are in league just so people will order a DVD copy.
How much work is it to just bleep out the word?
Must be alot.
If you tell someone they shouldn't watch something, they will watch it.
shareI'm all for putting a warning to snowflakes before the episode starts, it should be enough to placate them, at least they're warned. But cutting stuff out? NO!
So can anybody quote the actual line? just so we know what we're talking about?
shareBravo Mr Cleese 👏
Quite right, too.
