Her friendship with Elizabeth Taylor

I was just reading an interview with the soap star Anthony Geary and he had this to say about the time Elizabeth Taylor appeared on General Hospital in 1981:

I was with Elizabeth [in 1981] the morning she got the call that Natalie Wood had died. Natalie had been like a younger sister to her during the old studio days and they adored each other. Elizabeth really fell apart that morning and I was privy to the rawest emotions I think I’ve ever witnessed in a human being. Elizabeth was the best friend anybody could have. She would stand by you no matter what. Look at how she stood by Michael Jackson! And I will never forget her sobbing in my arms and saying, “Why do all the good people have to die and I go on…and on?”

Are you sure this is fact? The real actresses were first cousins.
Elizabeths mother and Natalie's Father were siblings. Khans. Otto Khans kids and everyone in Hollywood knows it!!!!

Their aunt was Vivian Leigh.

Their cousin played Darla Hood in Rascals and died young.

First off, I'm thinking Anthony Geary was a "publicity whore" and I'm not so sure he even had the purported romance with Elizabeth Taylor that was splashed all over the tabloids. That said, I also don't think that she and Natalie Wood were particularly close; their main connection is that they were one of the last products of the "studio system."

Elizabeth Taylor obviously had no suspicions about Robert Wagner since I believed she did two TV movies with him after Natalie passed.

I think Elizabeth Taylor is histrionic and probably made some type of scene. I think Tony Geary loved being her friend or whatever it was, because he was a big soap opera star, but basically stuck on a soap, and this made his life bigger. According to Lana Turner's book (I know) Natalie Wood, who loved success and being on top the movie business - and being beautiful - nevertheless did not want to end up as "pathetic" as Elizabeth Taylor who had an insatiable need for attention and publicity.

I personally think Taylor had a good and generous heart but also had an insatiable need for histrionics and publicity. It would be like her to make Wood's death a little bit about her.
