Susan Sarandon & Jessica Lange to play Bette & Joan

That's what the IMDB homepage says. A new cable series called FEUD is in the works and for its first season, the focus will be on Davis and Crawford, starring Sarandon and Lange. This is going to be very interesting!

The casting choices are excellent. Otherwise, I'm wary of the idea. I'm afraid Ryan Murphy (whose work I'm not crazy about) is just trying to exploit the original players.

Sweet merciful crap!

It's just tea! *sips* Needs more gin.

I completely agree. Sarandon, foremost, is a fantastic choice to play Davis. Although, I've always wanted Helena Bonham Carter to do it, Sarandon would be my next choice. Lange I'm not fussed on as an actress, but I'm certainly interested to see what she does with the opportunity. I'm just...a bit pang'd that Ryan Murphy is the dude doing it. Not the dude I'd pick, at all. To be honest, I reckon they should ask Pedro Almodovar if he would like to do it.

There is a commercial currently on television here in Sydney with Susan Sarandon in it and I commented to a friend the other day, look at those eyes, she could play Bette Davis.
Looking forward to it, it will be great to see Susan Sarandon and Jessica Lange together. Also cast are Alfred Molina as Robert Aldrich, Stanley Tucci as Jack Warner, Dominic Burgess as Victor Bueno and Judy Davis as Hedda Hopper.

Judy Davis is a brilliant choice for Hedda Hopper! haha
Tucci for Warner as well. That will be a slightly different shade for him, which is nice.

I am so excited for this

Sarandon playing Davis is fitting. One overrated hack portraying another. Glad that classy, beautiful Lange is playing the wonderful Ms. Crawford, may she rest in peace.
