shareRecently I've been revisiting a lot of Charles Laughton's work as I've bought it up, and I'm definitely convinced that he was far and away one of the best actors who ever lived. It has also strengthened my resolve that he and Bette Davis should have done something together. Perhaps a sort of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf type thing. A couple antagonizing each other through the years, getting older throughout. Something in the vein of her best work with Claude Rains - Mr. Skeffington and Deception. But with each as venomous as the other. What fun it would have been.
