I'm trying to find the name of a movie that didn't star Ingrid, but rather, was about her.
It think it was made in the early 80s and it's about a man whose wife (I think) is dying of cancer and her favourite actress is Ingrid Bergman. So he tries to find her and ends up getting her to meet with this dying lady.
If anyone knows the name I'd appreciate it.
I think you have the actress confused. Based on the plot you described, it sounds like an 80s film Garbo Talks starring Anne Bancroft as the dying woman. But her all time favorite actress, whom she wants to meet as a dying wish, is Greta Garbo,the countrywoman of Bergman. Hope this helps. I was confused. I only know of that movie because I watched the Siskel and Ebert review of it and absolutely HOWLED. I wanted to find it again but I didn't know the name.
