Lauren Bacall was GREAT to Fans Seeking Autographs!!!

I know she had a bit of a rep as a hot head when working or for being extremely opinionated however Lauren Bacall has to be praised for her extreme kindness to fans who wrote her seeking her autograph. I've never heard of anyone who didn't hear from her - and she would sign multiple items even, which many who sign will not! I only wrote her three times over 20 years as she was not one of my biggest favorites but she wrote back each time within a week or two and always signed every photo I sent. I sadly noticed her handwriting had rather drastically changed the last time I wrote (about two years ago), looking as if it was more difficult for her to sign so I knew I would never be writing her again but I was touched that even in her bad health state (reportedly wheelchair bound much of the time) she still thought of the fans. Kudos to the unforgettable Lauren Bacall, a class act all the way through and every inch a star !!
