I learned about her from 'My Fellow Americans'...

...as I did James Garner (also recently deceased). Of course, I saw a few more of her movies as the years went by. I'd say that there was nothing to dislike about Betty Joan Perske, known to the world as Lauren Bacall. Her blend of sultriness and toughness was everything that an actress could be. Far from cowering in fear of labels, she proudly called herself a liberal her whole life. It's also great that she reminded her "Twilight"-obsessed granddaughter what a REAL vampire movie is ("Nosferatu").

MY FELLOW AMERICANS is quite the underrated movie, and deserves a blu ray treatment. Given their politics, it was quite amusing to see Bacall and Jack Lemmon, play the Republican president and first lady, which they both probably got a great kick out of! And yes, sadly, both Bacall and James Garner have passed on within a month of each other.

And a 90+ film like NOSFERATU crushes anything in the TWILIGHT series!

Why do Americans demonize liberalism?

They don't. You know very little about America but think you're an expert
