Why Uber?
Why is Uber called Uber? That is almost the German word for "Over". Is it because you drive Uber once your career is over?

Supposed to be more in the sense of 'above' or 'superior', I think. Apparently, it started out as Ubercab, which probably makes the intention clearer.
