I got into an argument with a saleswoman. We were going at it pretty good. I wondered what to do, and then I remembered what always works in TV shows and movies, so I asked "are you as turned on as I am?", but she slapped me in the face
There's actually a website called "TV Tropes" that covers this, how some things you see on TV actually are found in real life (Truth in Television), and even a section where something insane happened in real life, but nobody would believe it really did unless they were there (Reality is Unrealistic).
Very true. One of the biggest examples of that is how people will sometimes do strange things in life threatening situations. They become overwhelmed and can't think clearly, I guess. When John Kennedy was assassinated, his wife, Jackie, reacted to him being shot in the head by climbing onto the back of the limousine and picking up pieces of his skull. Kind of morbid and gruesome, but it makes my point. If someone did something like that in a movie, I think people would be laughing and talking about how stupid that was.
Yes, and years later someone at the hospital related that she went up to one of the doctors with the material still in her hand and asked, "Will this help?" So it wasn't just a momentary reaction but she was in such shock she could hardly comprehend the situation, even though while he was still in the car she told someone he was dead.
According to conspiracy theories practically every group in the country was out to get JFK, but it could also have been a lone gunman making an incredibly lucky shot with one of the cheapest guns available.
