How often do you shop in the mall nowdays?

Not very often but then again my mall only has about 4 stores in it. I know some say I should shop locally but a lot of things aren't available in stores. Like old comics and some old movies. For instance I had to buy the movies Street Smart and Tales from the Crypt (1972) on DVD from amazon cause no store in my town had them.

I went to the mall for the first time in years during the COVID lockdowns early in 2020 to get the screen on my iPhone repaired, as the only open repair shop I could find was located there.

I went back again last month to buy some work clothes, but I went directly in and out of Macy's, so I'm not sure that even counts.

Regardless, I'd estimate that I go to the mall about once every 4 years, give or take.

We don't have a mall where I live. Closest equivalent we have is a bunch of expensive shops and a movie theater all clustered together in the town next to the one I live. I suppose you could call it an "open-air mall," but again, I don't go there very often.

Here in Italy the malls are all a bit outside town and since the rent for the shops in them is very high, the small shops in town are not only closer, but also cheaper.
My wife and me occasionally go window shopping in a mall, but we rarely buy anything there.
We're not the only ones who figured this out, at least half the malls there used to be in this region here have been closed due to lack of customers.

Amazon I don't use much, even though I buy a lot online, by my experience there aren't many things that one cannot find for a lower price elsewhere, only some small and very specific things that one cannot find anywhere else, like a movie or series I want to watch but isn't available in Italy, I buy on DVD or Bluray from Amazon.

Maybe once or twice a month.

More than I shop online, that’s for sure. I always find it strange that so many people buy clothes online. I’ve only ever done that once, when I decided I needed to have a Planet of The Apes T-shirt, which is obviously too niche to find at the local mall. Generally though, I HAVE to try clothing on first. Even with something I can see in person or on a mannequin that might look really cool. It’s 99% a different story when I see it on myself in a mirror. I’m not going to shell out coin for something that could quite possibly be ill-fitting or just not suit me. I spend a lot of time in fitting rooms when I’m clothes shopping 😂

Not often at all, I prefer to thrift shop or shop online for anything other than groceries and pet supplies.

I haven't even been in a mall since 2015, and that was just to kill time while waiting for a movie to start at the nearby theater. I didn't do any shopping there. I haven't been to a movie theater since then either, for that matter.

I think the last time I actually bought something at a mall was in 2000 or so; a set of jeweler's screwdrivers at Sears, which I still have.
