The Very word "Prestige TV" sound pretentious as F**K. Just like many of its shows.


Every time i hear the word im like "Wow that must be some super long Pretentious. B.S.. Im Happy im watching a good movie like Shawshank Redemption. It be over in 2 hours. I might watch The Muppet Movie next because im not a Joyless A$$h8le." lol

Also the other thing with the term. Is there no such thing as "prestige movie" "prestige video games" or "prestige books". Either something sucks or it dosn't suck and that it. Its like you can't say what Jack Kirby did wasn't art. Because it totally was. Even if the subject matter was goofy Superhero. It seem like a term someone who drinks wine and smells his own farts would use.

We don't use "prestige" as terms for "prestige video games/movies/books" but there's definitely a division made in people's head. YA literature, for instance, is definitely viewed differently to literary fiction.
