I'm Going To See Billy Joel & STING Tonight At Busch Stadium

And the forecast calls for high winds and rain, however, I went to the store and purchased some rain gear, i.e Rain Ponchos etc and the temperature will be 64 degrees, so sweatshirt weather and rain gear. I'm looking forward to this because I paid back in January, $625.00 a piece and got 2 tickets and I'm taking my sister who showed more interest in this then my friend Carol, but that's all good too!! I'm sitting behind 3rd Base which is very close to the stage it sounds like? Hopefully, it doesn't get rescheduled til next year because of the rain, these guys aren't getting any younger and time is not on their side.. πŸ˜ŽπŸ™

T-Minus 5-1/2 Hours til Sting takes the stage at 7PM. I suppose I better bring a sufficient amount of $$$$$ for food since food at the Stadium is expensive

Went and saw Billy Joel & Sting last night at Busch Stadium and the concert was FANTASTIC, however, I'm curious why Billy felt the need to cover a Rolling Stones song along with the Lion King song when he has such a catalog of songs to go with?? He belted out the hits and even some we haven't heard in a long time like the song "Vienna" from The Stranger Album on 1973?? We left before the encore so I didn't get to hear Uptown Girl, but that's Ok since they play it constantly on the radio. He also did a tribute to Kris Kristofferson. STING belted out the hits too for a man who's 72 and is HUGE, like 6 foot 6 compared to Billy Joel's 5 foot 5 inches.. I also notice that Billy looks like he's grown old and tired at 75 and he needs to call it a day after this Tour. I asked my sister to enquire about his Billy's net worth which is $250 Million and STING has a net worth of $550 Million!! Wow!! Also, Billy opened up the show doing a Duet with Sting singing "Everything she's done is Magic" which was very good.. Overall, I know I spent alot of $$$$$ on this, but I look at it as you'll never see singers like this ever again that actually sing their songs and not lip sync like you see now in 2024. I'd give this a 9 out of 10

Glad you enjoyed the show. I’m surprised Billy Joel opted for covers given his substantial discography (the Kris Kristofferson tribute is understandable though).

You’ve gotta see as many of the old guard whilst you still can - they won’t be around forever - this is why I go to see so many concerts.

My sister text me and mentioned they're doing for 5 Nights Only, Billy Joel, Sting & Stevie Knicks. That would be a very good show and expensive$$$$
