Rank these mediocre bands.

Coldplay
Train
Imagine Dragons
Maroon 5
Creed

That's my order.

Creed
Nickelback
Imagine Dragons
Train
Coldplay
Moron 5

Signed, million man.

reply

I see what you did with the last one.

reply

Not familiar enough with their discography to rank.

reply

They're all trash so there's really no wrong ranking.

reply

They are all a 6/10. Pretty good but not great.

Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Metallica and Iron Maiden are tens.

Just facts.

reply

I agree with half of this. But just to show you there's no animosity, here's a pic of one of the writers of "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" who looks strangely like Rob Halford.

Wow! You know weird stuff, that’s why I like you😄

reply

To think we know enough about any of them to rank them - sheesh.

Fun thought exercise - name some popular new musical acts that have three or more members.

There's a video out there floating around talking at the end of bands, you might enjoy it:

reply

I've seen that video. It's honestly sad that they only have 3 new bands on the top 400 streamed artists.

reply

I'd had never given it much thought but when you think about it for longer than five seconds, you go, uhm, weird.

reply

As a rocker, I noticed it. I didn't think it was 3, but I noticed the lack of popular bands.

reply

I subscribe to Rick Beato, so have seen this already.

reply

Coldplay (I have all their albums and will be seeing them next year).
Nickelback (I have all their albums and saw them supporting Bon Jovi a few years ago).
Maroon 5 (I have all their albums).
Creed (I have all their albums).
Train (I really like Drops of Jupiter, the rest of their stuff is meh).
Imagine Dragons (not a fan).

reply

Why, Andy? Why?

reply

Drops of Jupiter is a great song

reply

The lead singer wrote it for his late mother who had passed away from cancer (Poignant Pop Andy).

reply

/Imagine Dragons
Maroon 5/

These 2 are the worst. I can kinda respect the others because they at least don't seem to be gaudy. We all know how annoying and obnoxious M5's lead singer can be.

While at one time ID's sounds were okay on maybe one or two songs, it wasn't something I ever really liked. I've never liked the lead singer's voice and the way he tries too hard to kinda "rap flow" with lyrics are cringe. (He even does this today) Not to mention their sound, possibly fresh 15 years ago is played out and passe now.

Creed has made an interesting comeback in a way with helping the Texas Rangers with the World Series. haha.

I think Nickelback and Coldplay are the only two who can actually create a decent song. The problem with Coldplay is that their music is too generic. Maroon 5 and Imagine Dragons are the definition of blah.
