Light hearted feel good movies like Uncle Buck , My Cousin Vinny and The Groundhog Day

"Uncle Buck," "My Cousin Vinny," and "Groundhog Day" are my top three lighthearted comedies. These films are classics in my book. They offer more than just humor; they create an atmosphere that draws you in, making you wish you were part of their world. There's also an exhilarating thrill in watching the good guy, or the protagonist, triumph over the challenges and adversaries they face.

I am looking for more such movies. PS: I hate slapsticks. Never liked Jim Carrey.

What a great thread , although the some of the answers posted dont seem to match your criteria (as i saw it) that well ,
but everyone sees things a little differently .

The Worlds Fastest Indian
The Dish
Danny Deckchair
The Life Aquatic

No , its really odd that I came across these movies after visiting Australia (but not because of) , but I certainly have no ties or favoritism , and yet somehow my favorite "go to " movies are Australian . I'm as surprised as you .

"The Castle" is another pretty good lightweight heartwarming comedy thing in the same vein .

It's interesting that you call groundhog day " lighthearted?" Its full of great, existential dead, suicide and murder.
