Did Any Of You Post On The Old IMDb Boards?
I was a reg there from around 2010-2016 (around about the time the boards were sadly closed).

shareI was President Baltar from 2005-2016,
I changed to President Ackbar after Episode 7 came out.
Once or twice but that place was insane if a movie had any following at all. It was the 2nd worst next to the ESPN chat board.
shareI was a member of the IMDb message boards since November 2005. I used the same user name too. I was bummed when IMDb shutdown their comment boards but I'm glad I found MovieChat.
shareYes, since 2004 I think. Same user name.
shareI had an account but beyond that, I can't remember much.
shareI have been an IMDb member since 2000. Can't remember exactly when I started posting, but I was almost exclusive to the individual film boards, excluding the super popular/current ones, which were usually a mess full of spoilers, and was a regular at the horror board.
Here is my post history back to 2005: https://filmboards.com/user/28057/ It seems to have more saved than here, but still not 100% complete.
I have mixed feelings about fb: their format really tries to mimic the original IMDb, you can hide politics and the soapbox from your "Film & TV discussion" i.e. "New" feed, and coolest of all, you can merge your old IMDb posts/profile with your current one. Kinda fun to browse what you were talking about twenty years ago. On the down side, it's got a smaller and trollier userbase, but there are still some decent people and threads to be found. Kowalski may chime in to disagree. :D
Oh yeah, I have six people on my blocklist at fb, not due to anything they say, but it's the quantity of their posts that annoys me. If I have to scroll through more than one page made up entirely of one poster, they get blocked. While I can disagree or get annoyed by certain posters here, as long as they only post a couple times a day, I can just ignore them, so no need to blocklist them.
I find this place much more active, but alas half the posts are about politics and no way to hide them yet. I'd say I'm here six+ days/week, but only visit fb maybe a couple times a month.
Ya pretty much. Before Netflix streaming used to post a movie I liked and ask for recommendations. Discuss current series and such.
shareI did.
